You all may have seen, a headline flying around recently about “the confirmation” that Disney is continuing Netflix’s Daredevil series with season 4. If only it was true. Turns out this all started from a Daredevil Meme page as an April fools joke, stating that everything is filmed and the new season will consist of 13 episodes, with a release date of November 31st!.

So let’s break this down! The first thing to notice, this was posted on April 1st, and as we all know, everything posted on this date specifically has to be taken with a large grain of salt.

Second, it is stated that this will be a whopping 13 episode season, which wich contradicts what Feige said about Marvel’s Disney Plus series as every season will be either a six hour-episodes, or nine or 10 half-hour episodes of 30 minutes.

Third, this might be the biggest and easiest to spot. According to the meme page, the release is set for November 31st, now repeat that date in your head a few times. Why does November 31st sound so strange? Well, my fellow Daredevil fan, it’s is because it doesn’t exist. Don’t believe me, look at a calendar and see for yourself.

So is this “confirmation” completely bogus?

Unfortunately, yes it is….BUT, yes there is a but, there are some rumors speculating that Disney is in fact working on soft rebooting the series for a Disney Plus release. As we all know both Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox formally join the MCU recently. We saw Matt Murdock make his first appearance in Spider-Man No Way Home, then we saw King Pin in Hawkeye

According to Production Weekly, the Daredevil reboot is already in the works from producers Kevin Feige and Chris Gray and the costume designer for the Hawkeye series has said in her updated resume that she is currently. working on new costumes for Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox. There are also some reports that filming can start later this year, if that is the case, then it safe to say that Daredevil is already in at least the pre-production stages.

So the final verdict?

Honestly, I believe that they are working on the series and that we might hear something later this year or early next year. So we can stick this headline for now as a Rumor.
